A Bit Early But Still Good!

A Nativity Scene was erected in a church yard.

During the night the folks came across this scene.

An abandoned dog was looking for a comfortable, protected place to sleep. He chose baby Jesus as his comfort. No one had the heart to send him away so he was there all night.

We should all have the good sense of this dog and curl up in Jesus' lap from time to time.

  4. It's really heartwarming. I hope someone adopts the dog. The last time I was in Albuquerque, I saw a homeless man and his dog huddled up against the cold under a commercial doorway for the night. It was great that the dog (and the homeless man) had companionship, but I felt really bad for them both.

  6. My little dog died at Christmas. Tenth of December in fact. It was a few years ago but I still miss him. So this heartwarming picture is rather bittersweet for me.

    Still miss you, Max.

  7. I have seen a homeless Man and his dog before; The homeless Man was asking for food for the dog. I went and bought them both a subway. During this time we should think about the kindness of the spirit.

    I love this dog.

  11. Dear papabear67218,

Yes, it was cold, every which way. When life is harsh and the world is unfriendly. Starved, needing, and feeling hopeless. The pup went to somewhere low to the ground. Somewhere warm, somewhere safe, somewhere familiar, somewhere in its memory, a loved one would be.

    Do the math!

Instinct was gift to help us all survive. Ours works the same basic way even with our more developed minds. It's our default.

C'mon really; "xtians"(yes, I know who they are)? Dis ain't got nuthin' to do wid dat!

We've just connected to somwhere familiar in this holiday season.

Yeah, a place where LOVE exists.

If you can't tap into that this time of year, you're already gone!

Please enjoy your government sanctioned days off.

Almost forgot, Ray, I Thank you for your blog!

    Happy Holidays and Hugs Buddy!

    ELI
